One year ago today I painted my first set of windows 6 months postpartum. I rediscovered my passion for art and was determined to make it happen this time. Since then, I’ve.. - painted countless windows and improved my craft - started my online shop with cards, stickers, custom gifts and more to come - made so many new connections with locals, artists & small business owners - designed and painted a storefront for a new bakery downtown - started painting banners - painted the cutest mural for my bestie’s nursery & have another mural planned - achieved my goal of 1k followers on IG - achieved ANOTHER goal of turning my garage into my studio - got my first market in one week - (kinda) figured out my brand and how i want to represent myself - grown & learned SO much It’s crazy to think about how much has changed within the past year. I’m so beyond grateful for everyone who has supported me and given me opportunities to do what I love. I can finally say I’ve found a good balance between motherhood and work. Intentionally reserving time and space for those 2 things to exist on their own has been so helpful. But having the privilege to also experience my passion for art with my daughter has been even more amazing. I can’t wait for the next year of growth, both in the context of motherhood and my art. Imagining how those 2 things will continue to influence each other makes me so excited for the future. PS special shoutout to my amazing husband @jayymarr94 for being the best partner in life.
